This step was incredibly important in helping us to move forward. We were able to understand the growth of a forex trader and that their entire journey could be explained in three parts :. Learn: build a solid knowledge in trading concepts and strategies. Apply: Continuously commit themselves to improving by creating their own signals and executing more trades. Share: Actively participating in a community where they can gain valuable feedback from others as well as nurture other members.
With that, even with a non-financial background, someone like me and you can understand the end user and the journey they take. Traders need a way to learn, apply and share trading concepts and strategies within an active community in order to improve their skills, because they understand that continuously learning alongside other traders will accelerate their growth.
By creating a tiered system and streamlining the chatroom within TFA, users will have a meaningful community with constant activity. It will therefore lead to an increase in quality traders who view TFA as a valuable trading platform. We created two personas to humanise our potential users — one being a new trader, and another being an experienced trader.
They both understand the importance of growing within a community and lifelong learning in order to be an expert in forex. Everything that exists around the user is essential, such as how one finds the product, to how they advocate and share about your product.
Live Traders | Forex
We designed a blueprint to advise the client on how to improve TFA as a whole, not simply to remain focused on its live trading room. From sketches to wireframes, we collaborated and discussed as a team on the best ways to position the elements. We started off with basic paper and whiteboard sketches, on to Sketch for mid-fidelity prototypes, and finally using InVision to complete the high-fi prototypes with interactions. The time has come to validate our redesign, and we conducted it with 2 rounds with five users each.
The first round was based off the mid-fi prototype while the second was with iterations and a high-fi prototype. We gave the users a series of tasks to complete and gained qualitative as well as quantitative feedback to inform our iterations. Our findings in a nutshell:.
